Any Questions?

Do you offer accredited safeguarding training?

Yes, we offer a full range of accredited safeguarding courses from basic awareness training to advanced and specialist courses for DSLs (Designated Safeguarding Leads) and more experienced practitioners.

I need help writing a safeguarding policy for our organisation. Can you help?

Yes, of course. We can review or audit your existing safeguarding policy, or help you write a completely new one. Using an independent consultant to audit or write your policies is an effective way to ensure they comply with current legislation and use the most up-to-date terminology.

Do you offer adult safeguarding training for care homes?

Yes, we offer training for all businesses and organisations that may come into contact with vulnerable people. This includes care homes, charities, sports clubs, and all businesses and organisations that care about their employees and want to understand the best ways to navigate safeguarding challenges.

Many of my staff are home-based. Can you train them online?

Yes, all our instructor-led safeguarding and wellbeing training courses can be delivered online, at your workplace or in a location of your choice. With online and in-person courses, we limit the number of participants to ensure every trainee has the opportunity to ask questions and fully participate in the session.

Why don’t you offer e-learning courses?

E-learning is a great option for many topics and offers a budget-friendly alternative to instructor-led courses. However, due to the complexity of the safeguarding world and the potential consequences of staff not being properly trained, we don’t believe it’s worth the risk.

Can you say, hand on heart, that you’d trust someone’s judgement when they’ve completed the course with one eye on EastEnders, or gone through a set of multiple choice questions three times on their lunch break before scoring 70%? Neither can we!

We work with children and young adults. I’m looking to recruit new staff and want to make sure I get it right. Can you help?

Absolutely! We offer a Safer Recruitment course accredited by the Safer Recruitment Consortium. It’s designed to help you navigate HR and Safeguarding regulations to ensure compliance whilst deterring unsuitable applicants.

How often should our safeguarding training be updated?

Safeguarding training should be updated at least once every 2 years. Requirements vary depending on the course level and your organisation’s needs. However, as safeguarding needs to stay at the forefront of people’s minds to be effective, and legislation can change frequently, we also recommend an annual refresher or mini-course. Get in touch to discuss options that work for you.

We are a charity. Do our volunteers and trustees need safeguarding training?

If your volunteers are likely to come into contact with children or vulnerable adults in the course of their duties, then safeguarding training is a must. They may also benefit from wellbeing training to ensure they understand how to look after themselves and their colleagues.

Trustees support your charity and help make sure you are compliant. They have a duty of care to protect people, including staff and volunteers, from harm. Trustees need safeguarding training to carry out their roles effectively and with confidence.

Our staff don’t need an accreditation. Are you able to create a bespoke safeguarding course for our needs?

Yes, of course. We understand that each organisation has different needs, that’s why we offer tailored safeguarding courses to suit your needs and budget.
